Zen Leaf’s Rewards Program: What Members Earn at Every Tier

Zen Leaf Rewards is the multi-state loyalty program that Verano offers across its Zen Leaf dispensaries, designed to give regular shoppers cash-style savings, bonus perks, and a streamlined digital shopping experience. The program is free to join for eligible medical patients and adult-use customers and is managed primarily through the Zen Leaf+ mobile app or the dispensary website.

Joining the program is straightforward. Shoppers can create an account online or download the Zen Leaf+ app, which is available in several states, including Arizona, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Once enrolled, rewards are automatically linked to each purchase, so members earn points without needing physical cards or separate barcodes to scan.

At the core of Zen Leaf Rewards is a tiered structure that encourages steady spending over time. The nationwide program currently features four tiers: Insider, Gold, Platinum, and Zen+. Insider covers 1–500 points, Gold 501–2,000, Platinum 2,001–5,000, and Zen+ 5,001 points and above. Members unlock additional perks when they move up, such as higher redemption values and occasional swag. New Insider members typically receive a $10 discount just for signing up, and many locations offer an artist-designed tote after a qualifying first purchase.

Earning points is simple. Under the main program rules, members in the Insider, Gold, and Platinum tiers earn two points for every dollar spent, while Zen+ members earn three points per dollar. Points begin to accumulate after the first purchase and are non-transferable. To keep the program active and focused on recent shopping, all rewards points expire 180 days after they are earned, which encourages members to redeem them regularly rather than letting balances sit unused.

Redemption is built around easy-to-remember milestones. Points can be redeemed in 500-point increments at checkout, before other discounts are applied. In the Gold tier, 500 points translates to $15 off a purchase; in Platinum, 500 points is worth $25 off; and in Zen+, the same 500 points unlocks $40 off, reflecting the higher earn rate and loyalty status. Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, and Zen Leaf reserves the right to modify or discontinue the program, a standard clause across major cannabis loyalty schemes.

Because Zen Leaf operates in multiple legal markets, some rewards details differ by state. For example, the Massachusetts and Michigan rewards pages specify that customers earn one point for every dollar spent, with redemption thresholds of 150, 450, and 700 points for $5, $25, and $60 off respectively, and the same 180-day expiration window. In those states, points can only be earned and redeemed at participating local Zen Leaf stores, rather than across the national network.

The Zen Leaf+ app ties the experience together. In addition to earning and tracking points, customers can browse menus, place pickup orders, pay via integrated digital payment options, and monitor order status from packing to ready-for-pickup. Built-in messaging lets shoppers contact the dispensary directly if questions come up about products or rewards.

For heavy shoppers in select markets, Verano also offers Cabbage Club, a separate paid membership that layers on monthly store credits, exclusive coupons, and other extra perks at participating Zen Leaf locations. Paired with the free Zen Leaf Rewards program, this structure gives consumers a range of options to save money, earn repeat value, and stay engaged with one of the country’s larger dispensary chains.
